Also called ‘Why I do this’!
“Christians can’t have REAL fun,” someone once told me. “They’re so up-tight! They want to stay away from violent things. They don’t drink or smoke or do drugs or anything. They’re so concerned with “behaving well” that they divorce themselves from the culture around them.”
I agree. That’s true for Christians, but it’s even MORE true for pastors. And so, I’m trying to change that perception.
I call myself a “peculiar” pastor because I enjoy things that pastors are supposed to be against – particularly violence, “bad language”, and alcohol. I enjoy beer and bourbon. I would have no problem meeting someone for a church service at a bar. That’d be fine.
I also am a child of the 90s, which means I like video games, especially RPGs like the KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) series, Elder Scrolls games like Oblivion and Skyrim, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and much more!
But that’s not only what I do on stream. This is your one-stop shop for all things “peculiar” – in addition to video game streams, I will be placing links to ALL of my streams that I’m currently participating in. Other activities include weekly Biblical Hebrew reading groups. We’re also teaching our first FREE course, covering C. L. Seow’s A Grammar for Biblical Hebrew (Abingdon, 1995). Check out my “other” page if you want to peek in at this (main) side of my life.
I love to stream while I game, but I do other things too! Hebrew things, theology things, and general bible-y things. Who knows, maybe I’ll even put my sermons online. Thinking about it.
Thanks for stopping by! Before you head out, check out our streaming schedule!
